GRHA FUNDRAISING EVENTS: A SUMMER OF SUCCESS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Great Rivers Habitat Alliance (GRHA) enjoyed a great summer filled with successful fundraising events, all geared towards supporting vital conservation efforts. Here is a recap of the exciting events that made this summer memorable:

Nilo Farms Sporting Clays Dove Warm-Up

On August 22, 2024, the picturesque Nilo Farms hosted the Sporting Clays Dove Warm-Up, attracting sixty-four enthusiastic shooters for a day of fun and friendly competition. The weather was perfect for the event, which featured a thrilling flurry competition.

Top honors went to Troy Thompson and Anthony Pozzi, both scoring an impressive ninety-three, making Troy Top Gun and Anthony Top Gun Runner-Up. Ricky Meyer took home the Browning Wicked Wing Cynergy, and John Fiore won the Winchester Ammunition prize. The flurry event was a highlight, with Mike Marshall and Todd Rhodes clinching victory with a score of 24/25.

The event not only provided an enjoyable day of shooting but also raised substantial funds for GRHA’s conservation mission. A big thank you to our sponsors: Presenting Sponsor FSI, K&K Supply, Ridgeline Land Management, Hopson Shooting Products, Full Circle Reloading, Nilo Farms, GFI Digital, Winchester Ammunition, and Top Tier Outdoors. Your support was instrumental in making this event a success!

GRHA Golf Tournament

On July 22, 2024, twenty-two teams teed off at the Glen Echo Country Club for the GRHA Golf Tournament. The weather was ideal, and the course was in top condition, setting the stage for a fantastic day of golf. While no one managed to hit a hole-in-one to win the Polaris Ranger from Lou Fusz Powersports, several players came close, adding an extra thrill to the game.

The tournament concluded with a celebratory meal featuring delicious food and refreshing drinks. Participants enjoyed great scores and even better company, all while contributing to GRHA’s conservation efforts. We extend our gratitude to our sponsors: Lou Fusz Powersports, Top Tier Outdoors, Dirty Duck Coffee Company, Edward Jones, Moneta, Boss Shotgun Shells, Anders, Salt & Smoke, Wagner Portrait Group, Renaissance Financial, GFI Digital, DiveBomb Industries, Ed and William Holt, and Watter Wolf Bub Hansmann. Your generosity made this event memorable!

SQUADFEST

GRHA made a notable presence at SquadFest, where we connected with attendees about critical conservation issues, including the impact of building in floodplains. The event was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the community, promote GRHA memberships, and showcase our gear. It was a weekend filled with meaningful conversations and new connections.

These events collectively underscore the community’s strong support for GRHA’s mission. We deeply appreciate the enthusiasm, participation, and generosity of everyone involved. Your contributions are vital in helping us continue our work to preserve and protect our natural habitats.

Thank you for making this summer a season of success for Great Rivers Habitat Alliance! Stay tuned for more updates and future events.
